Julia Cué died 12/14/1996 in Bastrop, Texas, from injuries received after a car accident. Born in Havana, Cuba on 9/25/1955, she was the 3rd of 5 children born to Pedro A. Cué, MD and Maria Ortiz Cué.
In 1960, they fled communist Cuba and eventually, with the help and support of friends and total strangers who adopted the family as its own, they settled in Austin. Julia was born prematurely & as a result had very small feet. Her parents had to have her shoes specially made which is how they came to know Mr. Charlie Dunn (famous bootmaker in TX). As an adult she was both an old friend & a caregiver to Mr. Dunn til his death in 1993.
Julia was pre-deceased by her father, Pedro A Cué. She is mourned by her mother, sisters, Maria Cué, Teresa and husband, Mark Perkins, brothers, Pedro A. Cué and Antonio M Cué, Sr., her nephew Antonio M Cué, II and her niece, Jennifer LeForce, in addition to other close family members. She will be sadly missed.
